Rebuilt drivetrain on Fisher CR-7

I just rebuilt the drive train on this '89 Fisher CR-7 and the drive train was original from that year and I had ten's of thousands of miles on these chainrings with multiple replaced chains but the crank and chainrings and cassette were original..... New Sugino 8sp crank....130 dollars New 8sp chain...........12.00 dollars New 8sp cassette .......55.00 dollars Shout out to Yellow Jersey bikes of Madison WI and Back yard Bikes of LaGrange WI....for the hard to find old parts.... I am running a road cassette with 11/28 since I am running a power assist bike... What is interesting about the GEBE/Fisher build is that it's at its most efficient at 22 mph average speeds and with a modest pedal assist mainly on hills and start up and one can pedal near all the time for wonderful fuel economy and a bit of a workout if ya want one..... 250 miles plus per gallon if using a strong pedal assist or about 215 to 220 if pedaling only moderately and of course one can get an absolute killer workout if one unhooks the motor and just rides it like a real pedal bike....say like on the Glacial Drumlin trail.... Well I am well over 16000 miles upon this system and looking at the new world of the pure electrics with the new mid drive motors and much improved batteries....

i'm not much of a bike guy but sounds like you've got some pretty nice components. my $20 genesis GEBE needs a major upgrade in the bike drive train. the stock 21 speed is just not cutting it with motor assist.
